Greenway Community Garden - Monthly Workday
Saturday July 20: 8-10am
THEME: Summer Plant Care & Best Practices to Beat the HEAT
TOPICS: water conservation tips, summer soil health, and warm season plant care
TASKS: Food Fence crop and perimeter fence weeding, puncture weed ID and removal, compost pile care, picnic plaza and walkway maintenance.
These community workdays are a great way to connect with other gardeners, meet folks from other teams, and collaborate with others to complete garden projects.
WORKDAY NOTES:
Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Closed toe garden shoes/boots.
Garden gloves - bring your own (optional). We do have extra gloves to share.
Wear sun protection (hat/sunglasses/sunscreen).
Bring your own drinking water.
Please arrive at the start time to take good care of yourself in the warmer weather.
A First-Aid kit is available in the toolbox should you need it. Report any injuries or concerns to a garden leader.
