Tito's Block to Block- Building a new garden in Aurora

Join Titos Vodka and Denver Urban Gardens (DUG) as we build a new community garden in Aurora at the Mountain View United Church. DUG Community Gardens are spaces for food access, community building, and climate action. 

Garden Builds may include:

  • Using power tools like skill saws and power drills (no experience necessary!)
  • Cutting wood and configuring plot borders
  • Using shovels and wheelbarrows
  • Laying planters mix and compost in new plots to mend the soil
  • Laying pathways for accessibility
  • Cleaning up the site
  • And more!

What to bring:

  • Reusable water bottle
  • Gloves (if you have some, if not we’ll provide them)
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses

What to wear:

  • Clothes you don't mind getting dirty!
  • Closed-toe shoes
  • Sun protection: Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen etc.
  • Layers, layers, layers!

DUG and Tito's will provide:

  • Lunch from a food truck
  • Materials, tools, and instructions
  • Snacks
  • Music
  • Garden education materials
  • SWAG!

Inclement Weather Plan: In the case of inclement weather—including thunderstorms, heavy rain, snow, ice, AQI of 150+, extreme temperatures, heavy winds, or other weather advisories—the DUG team will do our best to reschedule this workday.
