Join Titos Vodka and Denver Urban Gardens (DUG) as we build a new community garden in Aurora at the Mountain View United Church. DUG Community Gardens are spaces for food access, community building, and climate action.
Garden Builds may include:
- Using power tools like skill saws and power drills (no experience necessary!)
- Cutting wood and configuring plot borders
- Using shovels and wheelbarrows
- Laying planters mix and compost in new plots to mend the soil
- Laying pathways for accessibility
- Cleaning up the site
- And more!
What to bring:
- Reusable water bottle
- Gloves (if you have some, if not we’ll provide them)
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses
What to wear:
- Clothes you don't mind getting dirty!
- Closed-toe shoes
- Sun protection: Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen etc.
- Layers, layers, layers!
DUG and Tito's will provide:
- Lunch from a food truck
- Materials, tools, and instructions
- Snacks
- Music
- Garden education materials
- SWAG!
