Join A Georgia Green Project w/sistaotey while they lead us through a tool cleaning & sharpening workshop at the Vista Peak Community Garden!
You can help us clean/sharpen our tools or bring your favorite tool to clean or sharpen.
$5 materials fee (cash preferred) per person for the workshop or bring your own materials listed below:
- At least 3 clean rags
- Boiled linseed oil
- Metal file
- Two grades of sandpaper (medium/fine)
- Wire brush
- Gloves
Meet us at the community garden, located at:
Vista Peak Preparatory Community Garden
24500 E 6th Ave., Aurora CO 80018
What to bring:
- Water
- Garden gloves
- Snacks (you can leave if you’d like, but we are far from places to eat, the closest gas station is 7-11 about a mile away)
- Materials for the class listed above
What to wear:
- Clothes you don't mind getting dirty!
- Closed-toe shoes
- Sun protection: Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.
- Layers, layers, layers!
Other things to note:
- There are porta-potties close to the garden
- We do not have access to the school
- There is no shade in the garden
