Hello! During the workday we will be digging swales and seeding the open space adjacent to our Glenbrook Food Forest with native short grass and wildflower species to increase pollinator habitat and recharge groundwater. Tasks may include digging/trenching, seed scattering, mulching/weeding, laying crusher fine for pathways and other physical tasks. Please wear:
- Close toed shoes
- Layers/sun protection
- Clothes you don't mind getting dirty
Bring a reusable water bottle! DUG will provide all of the needed tools/materials, as well as light snacks and a water jug. Please arrive with ample time to find parking and check in, we will begin orientation promptly at 9:00am.
