Help us tell the story of Denver Urban Gardens through your lens!
We're looking for volunteer photographers to visit DUG community gardens throughout the summer and capture the beauty, joy, and impact of growing food together.
Whether you're an experienced photographer with a DSLR camera or have an excellent eye and a high-quality smartphone, your photos will help showcase the vibrant people, plants, and moments that make our gardens thrive.
What you'll do:
- Visit assigned DUG community gardens during the summer season.
- Capture a variety of images, including gardens, volunteers, gardeners, produce, pollinators, and community connections. Shot list provided!
- Share high-resolution, lightly edited photos with the DUG marketing team for use in social media, newsletters, our website, and other outreach materials.
We're looking for volunteers who:
- Have access to a DSLR camera or a smartphone capable of taking high-resolution photos.
- Enjoy storytelling through photography and have an eye for authentic moments.
- Can respectfully photograph people and garden spaces while following DUG's photo consent guidelines.
- Are available to visit one or more gardens on a flexible schedule throughout the summer. Most visits will take 1-2 hours per garden.
- Reliable, organized, and able to visit gardens independently.
Your images will help inspire more people to garden, volunteer, and support a healthier, more connected Denver community.
