Join DUG’s education team for hands-on support at our Urban Plant Walk: Medicinal Plants of the Rocky Mountain West Workshop in our Urban Herbalism series. The workshop begins promptly at 6:00pm, but please arrive 30 minutes early at 5:30pm to assist with check-in with the facilitator.
Please note: you will be meeting the facilitator at McMeen School Community Garden before walking to the Cherry Creek Trail in Garland Park.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Checking in attendees & welcoming guests
- Facilitator assistance (eg. handing out materials)
- Photography
- Assisting with exit surveys
You will also have the opportunity to participate in the workshop and learn the content while offering your support. Once the workshop is concluded at 8:00pm, you will support with clean up and any "check out" processes. Check out should take ~15 minutes, and your volunteer shift will end no later than 8:15pm.
We will be standing stand and walking around outdoors during the workshop. Wear appropriate clothing, bring sun protection, and be prepared for all weather conditions (rain or shine).
