Come spread woodchip mulch and clean up the food forest at STEAM Academy to prepare for the winter! Mulch helps the soil retain water while suppressing weeds, keeping our fledgling fruit trees and bushes healthy. We will also be planting flowers by seed that will come up in the Spring! Tasks may also include weeding, digging, and other physical tasks.
Please wear:
- Close toed shoesLayers/sun protection
- Clothes you don't mind getting dirty
- Bring a reusable water bottle!
DUG will provide all of the needed tools/materials, as well as light snacks and a water jug. Please arrive with ample time to find parking and check in, we will begin orientation promptly at 2:00PM.
