Come spread woodchip mulch and clean up the food forest at Greenway/Central Park to prepare for the winter! Mulch helps the soil retain water while suppressing weeds, keeping our fledgling fruit trees and bushes healthy. Tasks may also include weeding, digging, and other physical tasks.
Please wear:
- Close toed shoes
- Layers/sun protection
- Clothes you don't mind getting dirty
Bring a reusable water bottle! DUG will provide all of the needed tools/materials, as well as light snacks and a water jug. Please arrive with ample time to find parking and check in, we will begin orientation promptly at 9:00am.
