The West Colfax community garden will be hosting our first Community work day on Saturday May 17th from 9am to when there is no more compost on the street around 1pm.
The Garden Is having several cubic yards of compost delivered and we need more hands and bodies to help move the compost from the street into garden beds.
We will also have other tasks which will include organizing the shed and helping maintain the walkways.
Things to help plan the day:
- Dress for Colorado weather. The garden is in an open space with limited shed.
- Please, bring drinking water as we will have a limited supply on this work day.
- Make sure to put on sunscreen
- Please bring your garden gloves as there is a limited supply of gloves available
- Wearing a hat will be helpful as the garden is in an open space.
Unfortunately, at this time the garden does Not have access to a nearby restroom.
The address being given is to a playground that is east of the gardens. The garden does not have its own address.
When you get to the garden ask for Cat or Emily.
