During the workday we will be planting trees at the Maxwell Food Forest. Tasks may include digging holes, moving mulch/compost with wheel barrows, planting trees, installing tree cages, general maintenance and other physical tasks.
Please wear:
- Close toed shoes
- Clothes you don't mind getting dirty
- Layers/sun protection
Please bring a reusable water bottle! DUG will provide all of the needed tools/materials, as well as light snacks. Arrive with ample time to find parking and check in, we will begin orientation promptly at 9:00am. We can't wait to see you there!
Please note that we kindly ask volunteers to commit to the full duration of their scheduled shift. This ensures participation in the orientation and allows our team to adequately prepare the necessary tools and materials. If you are unable to attend the entire three-hour shift, we ask that you refrain from signing up. Thank you for your understanding and support.
