During the workday we will be breaking ground at the new Food Forest at Newlon Elementary School. Tasks may include creating tree basins using hand tools, moving mulch/compost via wheel barrows and other physical tasks.
Please wear:
- Clothes you don't mind getting dirty
- Clothes toed shoes
- Layers/sun protection
Bring a reusable water bottle! DUG will provide all of the needed tools and materials, as well as light snacks. Please arrive with ample time to find parking and check in. We will begin orientation promptly at 1:00pm. We can't wait to see you there!
