Who We Are
By participating in DUG’s Special Project and Opportunities Team (SPOT), you will have a hand in ongoing, deeply impactful community projects throughout the growing season. SPOT Volunteers have the opportunity to enrich their knowledge, develop soft and hard skills, and contribute expertise and talents to the community alongside a cohort of other committed volunteers.
This program page is for SPOT members only. If you would like to learn more or join the program, please reach out to DUG's Volunteer Coordinator Eve Zook at eve@dug.org to schedule a phone call.

COMMITMENT AND EXPECTATIONS
- Attend at least two volunteer opportunities a month from March to November. The timing of volunteer events will vary by project. The DUG team will do our best to work with you on a schedule that works with your availability.
- Collaboration with the community at your project site, with DUG staff, and with the rest of SPOT. All ideas, ways of knowing, and ways of being are welcome and included in our space.
- Follow-through when you sign up for a volunteer shift and communication when you are no longer able to attend. Life happens; just let us know so we can plan accordingly!
