Volunteer: Sep 12 - Fall Gardening Workshop Support

Join DUG's education team to support our Transitioning Your Garden Into Fall Workshop in our Organic Growing series. This workshop begins promptly at 9:00am, but please arrive an hour early at 8am to assist with set up. 

Please note that this workshop will be held at the Posner Center for International Development.

Your responsibilities may include: 

Set up/clean upChecking in attendees & welcoming guestsKitchen: restocking snacks, coffee & tea stationsTech support & facilitator assistance (eg. handing out materials)Outdoor activities: carrying tools or suppliesCheck out/assisting with exit surveys

NOTE: A portion of this workshop will occur outdoors. Be prepared to be outside (sun protection, clothing, etc). Working with garden tools, digging in garden beds, and handling straw mulch will be part of the session. 

You will also have the opportunity to sit in during the workshop and learn the content while offering your support. Once the workshop concludes at 11:00am, you will support with clean up and any "check out" processes. Clean up/check out should take ~30 minutes, and your volunteer shift will end at 11:30am.
