Opportunities From: Denver Urban Gardens

Join DUG’s educational team to support our Zero Waste Kitchen Practices workshop, a part of the Sustainability series for Earth Day. The workshop begins promptly at 6:00pm, but please arrive early at 4:30 PM to assist with set up. This workshop will be held at the Posner Center for International Development. 

Your responsibilities may include:

Set up/clean up Checking in attendees Photographing the workshopGuest engagement and activity support
Supporting instructor in the kitchenFood prep - washing and cutting vegetablesWashing dishes and cleaning the kitchenSurvey support

You will also have the opportunity to sit in during the workshop and learn the content while offering your support. Once the workshop is concluded at 8:00pm, you will support with kitchen clean up and any "check out" processes. Clean up/check out should take less than an hour, and your volunteer shift will end by 9:00pm. 

All volunteers will be invited to sample the recipes made in the workshop and eat a meal with our guests. Please notify us of any allergies - email kristi@dug.org.

Join DUG’s education team to support our Basics of Organic Gardening workshop. 

The workshop begins promptly at 6:00pm, but please arrive an hour early at 5:00pm to assist with set up. This workshop will be held at the Posner Center for International Development.

Your responsibilities may include:

Set up/clean upChecking in attendees & welcoming guestsKitchen: restocking snacks, coffee & tea stationsTech support & facilitator assistance (eg. handing out materials)Outdoor activities: carrying tools or suppliesCheck out/assisting with exit surveys 

You will also have the opportunity to sit in during the workshop and learn the content while offering your support. Once the workshop is concluded at 8:00pm, you will support with clean up and any "check out" processes. Clean up/check out should take ~30 minutes, and your volunteer shift will end at 8:30pm.

May involve some light lifting and outdoor activity. Be prepared to work indoors and outdoors. Involves standing and carrying tools/supplies.
