Opportunities From: Denver Urban Gardens

Join DUG’s education team to support our Nature Journaling  workshop. 

The workshop begins promptly at 1:00pm, but please arrive an hour early at 12:00pm to assist with set up. Note: this event will be held at the Posner Center for International Development.

Your responsibilities may include:

Set up/clean upChecking in attendees & welcoming guestsKitchen: restocking snacks, coffee & tea stations Facilitator assistance (eg. handing out materials)Outdoor activities: carrying tools or suppliesCheck out/assisting with exit surveys 

You will also have the opportunity to sit in during the workshop and learn the content while offering your support. Once the workshop concludes at 3:00pm, you will support with clean up and any "check out" processes. Clean up/check out should take ~30 minutes, and your volunteer shift will end at 3:30pm.

May involve some light lifting and outdoor activity. Be prepared to work indoors and outdoors. Involves standing and carrying tools, chairs, or art supplies.

Join DUG’s education team for hands-on support at Edible & Medicinal Weed Walk workshop in our Urban Herbalism series. The workshop begins promptly at 5:00pm, but please arrive 30 min early at 4:30pm to assist and check-in with the facilitator.

Your responsibilities may include:

Checking in attendees & welcoming guestsFacilitator assistance (eg. handing out materials)PhotographyAssisting with exit surveys 

You will also have the opportunity to participate in the workshop and learn the content while offering your support. Once the workshop is concluded at 7:00pm, you will support with clean up and any "check out" processes. Check out should take ~15 minutes, and your volunteer shift will end no later than 7:30pm. 

Please note this workshop occurs completely outdoors and will be held at the Big Garden in Washington Park. We will be standing stand and walking during the workshop. Wear appropriate clothing, bring sun protection, and be prepared for all weather conditions (rain or shine).
