Volunteer: September 18th Preservation Ed Workshop Support

Join DUG’s educational team for hands-on support at Intro to Fermented Vegetables , a part of the Preservation series. The workshop begins promptly at 6:00pm, but please arrive an hour early at 5:00pm to assist with set up.

 This workshop will be held at the Posner Center for International Development.

Your responsibilities may include:

Food PreparationAssisting the instructor with any needed tasks during the workshopSet Up/Check InCheck out/assisting with exit surveys Clean Up

NOTE: We are looking for two volunteers who are interested in volunteering for the entire in the Preservation Series as consistency is needed for these workshops! 

Preservation Series:

Preserving the Flavor of Summer - 8/7/25 - 6:00 PM - 8:00 PMCanning Jams & Fruit Preserves - 8/21/25 - 6:00 PM - 8:00 PMVinegar Pickles & Vegetable Canning - 9/4/25 - 6:00 PM - 8:00 PMIntro to Fermented Vegetables - 9/18/25 - 6:00 PM - 8:00 PMApple Preservation : Cider to Fruit Leather - 10/9/25 - 6:00 PM - 8:00 PMWild Sodas, Herbal Meads, and Shrubs - 11/6/25 - 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

You will also have the opportunity to sit in during the workshop and learn the content while offering your support. Once the workshop is concluded at 8pm, you will support with clean up and any "check out" processes. Clean up/check should take 45 minutes, and your volunteer shift will end at 8:45pm
