Volunteer: 2nd Saturday Work Day at Samuels GardenEvery second Saturday, we hit the garden to tackle planned tasks that benefit the garden as a whole. Sometimes we have a specific project, and sometimes we pull weeds and turn the compost piles. We work at those planned goals for two hours and then often break to take care of our own plots and/or socialize. Many hands make light work, so all are welcome to join us. Bring your family and friends! Volunteer: Samuels Elementary Therapeutic Garden WorkdayHello! During the workday we will be planting perennials, mulching, and digging drains in addition to some other maintenance projects. Tasks may include cutting/drilling wood planks, bed assembly, digging/trenching, weeding, composting, and other physical tasks. Please wear: Close toed shoes Layers/sun protection Clothes you don't mind getting dirtyBring a reusable water bottle! DUG will provide all of the needed tools/materials, as well as light snacks and a water jug. Please arrive with ample time to find parking and check in, we will begin orientation promptly at 9:00am.
