Join DUG’s educational team for hands-on support at Learn To Compost, a part of the Composting series. The workshop begins promptly at 9:00am, but please arrive 45 minutes early at 8:15am to assist with set up.

Please note the workshop will be held at the Gove Community Garden.

Your responsibilities may include:

You will also have the opportunity to sit in during the workshop and learn the content while offering your support. Once the workshop is concluded at 11am, you will support with clean up and any "check out" processes. Clean up/check out should take 30 minutes, and your volunteer shift will end at 11:30am. Please note the workshop will be held at the Gove Community Garden.

Join DUG’s educational team for hands-on support at Fire Cider for the Fall Equinox, a part of the Urban Herbalism series. The workshop begins promptly at 6:00pm, but please arrive an hour early at 5:00pm to assist with set up

Please note the workshop will be held at the Posner Center for International Development.

Your responsibilities may include:

You will also have the opportunity to sit in during the workshop and learn the content while offering your support. Once the workshop is concluded at 8:30 pm, you will support with clean up and any "check out" processes. Clean up/check out could take up to 30 minutes, and your volunteer shift will end no later than 9:00 pm.

Help DUG prepare for our biggest event of the year - our Gather 'Round Gala! Volunteers will support with our wine wall by wrapping wine and spirits.

Help DUG prepare for our biggest event of the year - our Gather 'Round Gala! Volunteers will support with event setup and staging including setting up tables, our auction and other event-related tasks.

Please wear comfortable shoes and a water bottle. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

Help support DUG with our biggest event of the year - our Gather 'Round Gala! Volunteers will help support with check-in, our auction table, and general event support to make the night a success.

Please wear comfortable shoes and black. Dinner from Easy Vegan will be provided. There will be a volunteer designated area to store items and rest.

Join DUG’s educational team for hands-on support at Wiggly Worms: Make & Take Worm Bin, a part of the Family series. The workshop begins promptly at 11:00 AM, but please arrive an hour and a half early at 9:30am to assist with set up. 

Please note the workshop will be held at the Posner Center for International Development.

Your responsibilities may include:

This event will have a prior orientation to further clarify and discuss volunteer responsibilities. 

Once the workshop is concluded at 1:00 PM, you will support with clean up and any "check out" processes. Clean up/check should take about 1 hour, and your volunteer shift will end 2:00 PM.

Join DUG’s educational team for hands-on support at Apple Preservation:Cider to Fruit Leather, a part of the Preservation series. The workshop begins promptly at 6:00pm, but please arrive an hour early at 5:00pm to assist with set up.

Your responsibilities may include:

NOTE: We are looking for two volunteers who are interested in volunteering for the entire in the Preservation Series as consistency is needed for these workshops!

Once the workshop is concluded at 8pm, you will support with clean up and any "check out" processes. Clean up/check should take 45 minutes, and your volunteer shift will end at 8:45pm.
