Join DUG’s educational team for hands-on support at Wiggly Worms: Make & Take Worm Bin, a part of the Family series. The workshop begins promptly at 10:00 AM, but please arrive an hour and a half early at 8:30am to assist with set up. 

Please note the workshop will be held at the Posner Center for International Development.

Your responsibilities may include:

Set up/clean up Educational SupportAny other needs during the workshopCheck out/assisting with exit surveys

Once the workshop is concluded at 12:00 PM, you will support with clean up and any "check out" processes. Clean up/check should take about 1 hour, and your volunteer shift will end 1:00 PM

These events are for gardeners and interested volunteers to help out in common projects and improvements, contribute towards regular upkeep and maintenance like weeding and repairs, and to get together with your fellow gardeners!

It’s fall, which means it’s time to mulch our food forest! We will have loads of wood chips and will be using wheelbarrows, pitchforks, shovels and rakes to mulch the food forest and help with weed suppression and water retention at the site.

If you have gloves, please bring them, along with a water bottle, sunscreen, and layers (we tend to warm up fast once we get moving).

The food forest is located on the north side of the playground; you can park in the parking lot off of 3rd and Elati.
